The DESIGN Process

tHE CONSULTATION (1-2 HouRS.)

This complimentary meeting is an opportunity for us to introduce ourselves, view your property and discuss your landscaping needs, all in the comfort of your own home. We will listen closely to your concerns and using our considerable experience and expertise, begin to formulate a solution.

By the end of the meeting, it will be your choice to either agree to proceed to the design phase or take more time to consider your options. No obligations here, we just appreciate the opportunity!

site inventory & design time

Our designs are computer-generated using the most up-to-date Landscape Design Program available. By using this program, we are able to insert computer-generated textures and symbols into the drawing, offering our clients a very clear and concise representation of the design.

It’s important to know the Design Stage is an evolution of ideas represented by a series of drawings until we arrive at the final solution.

Final drawings are black-line on white background and will be presented on either an 18” x 24” or 24” x 36” sheet. For an additional fee, coloured and 3-D drawings are also available.

standard design FEES

Standard design fees are $750.00 for a front yard design and $1,200.00 for a rear yard design. Full property Designs are available at $1,700.00 (save $250.00), are subject to HST and are not deductible from future construction costs. A 50% design deposit is required in advance and the balance is due after substantial completion of the drawings.

exceptions

Larger, or more-complicated projects (estate lots, complex grading, comprehensive wish lists…) or any significant re-direction of the design, particularly in the later stages of the design process, may reflect higher design fees.

permit drawings

Some projects including cabanas, decks, swimming pools and additions will require additional drawings and engineering for building permit purposes and those fees will be above & beyond the original design fee agreement.
